I had the most awesome opportunity this weekend to take pictures at the Mark Schulman "The Attitude of Success" Drum Clinic in Jhb. His Jhb Drum Clinic's were sponsored by SADrummer.com and what an AWESOME time we had!!!
Mark is a cancer survivor and uses his seminars to motivate and inspire young drummers, and anyone really, to be the best they can be. He is such an awesome guy and I was blown away at what a humble guy he is! You can check out his website here: www.markschulman.net and read about this talented man and the great work he is doing with youngsters the world over.
A bit of background on Mark: He just finished touring with Pink. He has played with big names like Foreigner, Richard Marx, Billy Idol, Cher, Tina Turner, Simple Minds, Velvet Revolver, Destiny's Child and Sheryl Crow.
I hope you like the next little series I have put together of some of the shots from Saturday's gig. It was a first for me - as you all know kids and families are my specialities so this was a BRILLIANT chance for me to try something new - and I had so much fun!!!

This was a pure accident shot - my new lithium batteries were over heating in my flash so it kept on misfiring - this shot was a result of one of the misfires - it's really dark but I kinda liked the mood and effect it created! You can let me know what you think! :)

Thank you all for your continued visits. I am currently swamped with work and home activities and don't always have time to check out your blogs. But please know that your visits are appreciated and all your comments read. I will get round to your blogs when things calm down over here.
In the meantime I hope you enjoy my posts!
Sometimes great things come out from misfires. I check'd out the website and i must say, he truly is an inspirational character.
