Here it is.....one of my test shots from my new Nikon D80. And while I have now seriously dented my budget ~ until I hear from the insurance company again that is ~ I couldn't be happier! What an amazing machine. Everything about this camera is awesome. It's speed, colours, sharpness...
Well, let me not go on and on...you can let me know what you think. :) I hope you enjoy them. The new wedding ones will be up next week! :)

Thanks so much!! And you are very right!! After my initial shock of having to pay for this camera myself I am more than thrilled with the wonderful pictures it is producing!!! I say it is DEFINITELY money well spent and hey, who knows, I might still get some of it back in the end!! :) Either way I am not sorry I got it! :) It's FABULOUS!!! hahaha

@Shutterbug: Hey Shutterbug!! Thanks so much. Unfortunately the insurance hasn't agreed to pay yet, but I had no choice but to go ahead and get the new cam as I am shooting a wedding this afternoon and couldn't take the risk of the old camera totally malfunctioning on me. Although I am now CONSIDERABLY poorer, I am CONSIDERABLY happier too~ the results speak for themself!!! hahhaha. As Manuela said in her comment - This is a very good thing that has come out of something pretty bad!! :)
Wow! Mandy this is georgous! now I can't wait to see your Wedding photos :) Congrats on your new cam, I hope the insurance company pay up!

Thanks so much my friend - I am glad you like it! I'm having such fun playing around with it! But must admit, I am sure it can do a whole lot more....after the wedding and when I have time next week I am going to sit down and read the manual so that I can really see what this baby can do!!! hahaha :).

Who said that photography was cheap? The cool thing about all this is that you have now a camera which you love and think is very cool. More power to you! I cannot wait to see more of the images you make with it. I also like this image.
