Flora 3

Okay this is the final image in my "flower" series. In this one I got the "single" focal point with only one stem of flowers.

I liked the colours on the leaves, that's what originally drew me to the plant and then I noticed the flowers.

I don't know it might be a bit too dark? What do you think?

The texture and detail in the leaves is wonderful! I like the darker colour, it give the feeling that, this little flower is hiding :)

A lovely composition with beautiful greens and a suitably blurred background. It seems that the leaves at the bottom are sharper than the flowers. I feel that it should be the reverse. Otherwise, very nice

@Andrew Gould: Thanks Andrew. That was the original idea but clearly my camera had a mind of its own on that one - I could've sworn I selected the flowers as the main focus when taking the shot!!! hahaha

Very nice Mandy. I agree with the four previous commentators. Great detail and texture in the leaves; excellent DOF blur in the background; you isolated the one floral subject well; I think the greens are excellent and showcase the pale pink of these miniscule flowerlets to their best advantage -- I also like the red leaf undersides and the stem color; and yes, the leaves are sharper than the flower (which confuses as to which is the real subject of the photo). Macro can be a bit tricky that way. Good job, gal!

imho, this is a true picture of quiet loveliness, Mandy. :) i love the lush green foliage complementing those tiny delicate pink & white blossoms. as others above have observed, this is truly beautiful! :)
